It was Maidenhead Rowing Club on tour this weekend as over 30 club rowers travelled to Llandaff Rowing Club in Cardiff for a weekend of fun and fantastic rowing.
With the season in full flight, there were many successes and pots won demonstrating the hard work and dedication that Maidenhead rowers have put in this season so far.
During a scorching hot couple of days, the club enjoyed some resounding successes in various events. The most significant wins came for the Women's Squad who had not one but two Women's Novice Coxed Four crew wins, taking all 8 girls from Novice to Senior IV status.
The first Women's Novice Coxed Four win was on Saturday over 1000m for Fran Pearson, Sarah Bennett-Baggs, Debbie Thomas and Helen Jacobs. The crew was coxed by Gemma Brace.
The second Women's Novice Coxed Four win was on Sunday over 500m for Anne van Diem, Jo Macbeth, Louise Perry and Jo Gower. The crew was coxed by Lizzie Gerrard. Both crews beat the same crew from City of Bristol RC.
