Maidenhead Novice Women entered their first competitive race at Abingdon on Sunday 23 April in the WN4+ category and achieved a credible win over the 2000m upstream course in a time of 9min 25s. The crew comprising of Natasa Lakovic, Sarah Heczko, Rosemary Elder and Gillian Kidd, coxed by Nicki Evans, have been coached by Howard Boyce since finishing their Learn to Row courses in 2005. The crew benefitted from good river conditions and were very satisfied with their success.
