Championship Mens Sculler for 2006 is Phil Clapp finishing in 10min 22s with Runner up Tim Wildbore finishing in 10min 58s. For those members who do not know, Phil was the fastest J18 sculler earlier this year at GB Final junior trials. This was an excellent achievement considering Phil was only J16. Good to see another junior sculler, Tim Wildbore moving into 2nd position.
Championship Womens Sculler for 2006 is Louise Entwistle finishing in 11min 25s who also featured in the top scullers at GB final junior trials. Ally Brooks finishing in 11min 33s to take the Runner up position.
Fastest Mens crew overall was the veteran combination double of Al Cook and Huw Jenkins who finished the course in 10min 28s.
Fastest Womens crew overall was the double of Louise Entwistle and Ally Brooks who finished the course in 10min 50s.
The short course for less experienced athletes saw Jack Beaumont J13 complete the course in 7min 39s and win the boys division.
The girls short course saw Beth John WJ16 complete the course in 7min 52s to take 1st place in this division. Special mention to Kate Ryde who capsized at the bend but quickly got back in the boat to finish the course in 10min 27s.
