Record Breaking Performance at Evesham Junior Head Print E-mail
Friday, 05 October 2007
Last weekend, Jack Beaumont competed at Evesham Junior Head in two Maidenhead/Reading composite crews. Jack stroked the J15 2x with Max Rushent of Reading and they won the event by 34 seconds ahead of Hinksey Sculling School, breaking the course record in a time of 7min 59s. This is an impressive performance for Jack who is still only 13 and this time would have placed their crew second in the J16 2x event and 4th in the J18 2x event. This placed then in 24th position overall out of all of the quads and doubles.

Jack also teamed up with Reading in the J14 4x event and finished in third place in a time of 7min 53s, four seconds behind the winners from Evesham Rowing Club.
