On Saturday 20th October, Weybridge held the 51st Silver Sculls head race. Founded in 1956 it is the oldest race of its kind on the non-tidal reach of the Thames. Maidenhead's Bob Wilson was unopposed in Veteran I single sculls and completed the 3300m upstream course in 21:47. Tim Wildbore and George Poynter both enterd J18 single sculls. Tim finished in 9th place with a time of 16:02 and George in 20th place with 16:56 . In the after noon division they joined forces in a J18 Double Scull and finished 7th in 14:31 .
