Sarah Archibald won the Women's Veteran B Single Sculls at Henley Veterans Regatta on Saturday 10th July. Hosted at Upper Thames, the regatta has grown into an internationally recognised event with veteran crews travelling from all over the world to compete on the 1000m stretch of the Royal Regatta course.
After a dodgy start to her semi-final, when a crab off the start nearly ended in a ducking, Sarah recovered and 'unleashed hell' to claw back the deficit and win by 1ft! Inspired, if not slightly knackered, Sarah recomposed herself and cruised to victory in the final, winning by 4 lengths.
