Maidenhead win two first place  medals and one 3rd place at Hampton Small Boat's Head

Maidenhead Rowing Club juniors put up some excellent performances at  Hampton
Small Boats Head held over a downstream 3000mtrs course on Saturday  27th November.

This small boat’s head attracted the top junior Schools and Clubs from
across the UK. Most of the singles and doubles that entered at J18 level  included
GB potential athletes aiming for GB selection.

With the standard so high it was good to see Maidenhead Juniors competing
well and winning against such tough opposition.

First win of the day came from Louise Entwhistle who not only won WJ 16
singles sculls but did so in a time that placed her in 2nd overall position at
WJ18 level, ahead of some GB Junior athletes.

Second medal win of the day was a third place medal awarded to Ally Brooks
who had a field of 35 scullers to contend with. Maidenhead entered 4 scullers
in  this event and all finished in high positions, see results below.

Third win was a first place medal to Louise Entwhistle and Ally Brooks who
teamed up to race again in the afternoon division in WJ16 doubles. This double
won its WJ 16 division and finished a very credible 3rd overall in the Womens
 double sculls category.

Natalie Trinder and Jo Wright raced in WJ18 double sculls and did extremely
well to finish in 2nd place in this division and 4th fastest double overall,
just behind Louise and Ally. This was a good result for two Maidenhead doubles
to finish in 3rd and 4th overall positions.

Laurian Pepper also had a very good scull and finished in 3rd place in the
WJ17 sculls category.

Maidenhead crews finish positions and times are as follows:

1. WJ16 double sculls Louise Entwhistle and Ally Brooks finished in  1st
