3 Wins at Thames Valley Oarsmen's Cross Country Print E-mail
Friday, 18 February 2005
Aimee Campbell, Laurian Pepper and Orlando Fricker notched up category wins at this year's event.

Maidenhead had another successful entry at the Thames Valley Oarsmen's Cross Country this year. The event, organised by Windsor Boy's School, is a popular event with lower Thames clubs and schools. There were good entries from Eton Excelsior, Marlow, Staines, Wraysbury and Kingston clubs, and LEH, KCS Wimbledon, Westminster and Windsor Boy's School to name a few.

Aimee Campbell won WJ15 in an excellent time of 30:42.6 some 52 seconds ahead of Ally Brooks in second place Ally was also well ahead of the 3rd WJ15.

Laurian Pepper won WJ18 easily with little competition in this category but put up an excellent performance, being the 3rd fastest of all the women and second fastest Maidenhead competitor with a time of 28:36.0

Orlando Fricker won the Veteran plus category in a time of 25:53.5

The veteran plus team of Orlando, Ken Bedwell, Peter Campbell and Peter Smithson did well finishing in second pace with 37 points behind winners Kingston with 29 points.
