We are the home of recreational rowers, national and international competitors, and Olympic and World Championship medallists.
Maidenhead Rowing Club's Mission is to provide a friendly, safe, and supportive environment for members of all ages and abilities to pursue the sport and fellowship of rowing.
The Club's Vision is to create a welcoming, accessible and safe environment where every member feels valued, successful and happy. We strive to help members enjoy rowing and achieve their ambitions, whatever they are. Both on and off the water, we are a rowing family that supports each other and has a strong sense of community and camaraderie.
The Club's Core Values are:
- Success - we are driven by a passion for achieving our goals
- Together - we work as one, pulling together for each other and our club
- Accessible - we welcome everyone, regardless of background or ability
- Respect - we show respect for one another, our heritage, our competitors, and our community
There are many benefits to being involved in rowing: the sense of freedom, making life-long friends and learning new skills, while keeping fit and healthy both physically and mentally. This can all be done on the water or indoors, just for fun or through competing in races from local events to international championships. The club has a long history, with junior and senior members enjoying rowing across the spectrum from recreational through to Henley Royal Regatta wins and representation at national and international levels.
Our boathouse (opened by Sir Steve Redgrave in 1998) is conveniently situated close to the A4/Bath Road bridge on the Taplow side of the river, with excellent accessibility facilities (including lift, changing rooms and pontoon ramp).
We are organised on a squad basis for everyone to find their fit: Juniors; Senior Men (18+); Senior Women (18+); Masters Men (32+);
Masters Women (32+); Recreational; Adaptive; and Cox.
The club hosts two annual regattas: The Maidenhead Junior Regatta in May and The Maidenhead Summer Regatta in early August. We run regular induction sessions and Learn to Row courses. Click on Learn to Row for more information.
